Until I moved away for college, Kinnelon was the only town I've ever lived in. After returning six years later, I was amazed and saddened by the amount of development that took place in that time. I love the natural beauty of Kinnelon and we must protect it from further destruction. If it wasnâ??t for good citizens standing up to developers a few years ago, then the amazing Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area wouldnâ??t exist today; it would be a maze of roads with sprawling mansions. Riverdale has already done enough to destroy this areaâ??s natural beauty. Letâ??s leave the Weber Tract alone.

I enjoy the endless hiking and scenery the property has. I love coming up Kinnelon Road to see the trees and undeveloped land as a "greenway" into the community. It must be preserved for all to enjoy, that is why we came here.

I will be moving into Kinnelon in the near future and agree we must preserve this land. I also plan on spreading the word and supporting this cause.

We live in Kinnelon for the open wooded spaces. Letâ??s not turn our wonderful town into a city landscape. Letâ??s save what we have for our children and theirs. Selling out to large developers to profit is not going to make our lives more meaningful, and would only add to the traffic and congestion we face every day.

Northern New Jersey is completly overdeveloped. My family moved to Kinnelon last year from Bergen County for it's abundance of wide open spaces, beautiful natural landscapes and the ability to experience nature. Please don't disrupt the natural beauty Kinnelon has to offer. -The McHugh Family
